The past week we have heard it all: Stamkos-Gate, Tweet Gate, Stamageddon (my favourite one) along with other clever clichés, all because of a liked tweet. Sure Steven Stamkos has said that liking a tweet about the possibility of the Toronto Maple Leafs pursuing the star sniper in the offseason was an accident, but that has not stopped people from believing that his future next year is not with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Maple Leafs Well-Represented in 2016 World Junior Championship

The 2016 World Junior Championship, held in Helsinki, Finland will be the best tournament for Leafs fans in years. With the announcements made this past week that both Finnish forward Kasperi Kapanen and Swedish forward William Nylander will loaned to their respective WJC teams from the Toronto Marlies, an unprecedented five Leafs players will be featured in this year’s tournament. Leafs Lounge Podcast – December 1, 2015 – Lighting A Spark

Unfortunately this is our final podcast of the semester. On this episode, we discuss the Leafs goaltending situation, what’s wrong with the Oilers (including potential trades that might be made with the Leafs) and a preview of the upcoming month of hockey. Also in this episode is a World Junior prospect preview of Leafs prospects who might be playing in the annual tournament.
